ORG GÉANT Title Project Development Officer BIO Peter Szegedi joined the GÉANT Association (formerly known as TERENA) in January 2008. He is one of the Project Development Officers who develop and manage the task forces, special interest groups and contribute to technical projects and strategic programmes. His role has been extended to be the member of the Management Team and contribute to policy definition and implementation of the GÉANT Community Programme. He is currently the secretary of TF-Storage (data storage), TF-WebRTC (web real time communications) and SIG-NOC (network operation centres), as well as responsible for the Global Lambda Integrated Facility (GLIF) and Network Performing Arts Production (NPAP) workshops. Peter looks after the NRENum.net service (the global ENUM service for academia) and the Open Educational Resource (OER) hub and portal service developments. He is currently the activity leader of the EC-funded GN4 project's Real Time Applications and Multimedia Management (SA8) activity. Peter has recently got his ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management and successfully complete his Managing People in Virtual Teams (MPiVT) training.
