ORG Brocade Title BIO Daniel Williams, Director of Product Marketing at Brocade, is responsible for the strategy and execution of marketing for the OpenFlow-enabled Data Center Routing solutions at Brocade. He is an active participant in the ONF Market Ed WG, working to extend the adoption of OpenFlow and Software-Defined Networking. During his over 20 years in the networking communications industry, he has worked extensively on applying, building, marketing and selling communications technologies and solutions to solve real-world problems. His early experience focused on education and large enterprise networks, with the last decade focused on service provider and data center operators and the challenges they face with the “consumerization of IT” and the journey to cloud. He has previously held management positions in product marketing, product management, and systems engineering for Nokia, Lucent Technologies, Ascend Communications, Amber Networks, Nortel (Tasman) Networks and several additional startups. Mr. Williams has spoken at many vendor-led technology and solutions forums and industry events including Carrier Ethernet World, NetEvents and Ethernet Technology Summit.
