Hervé Guy is CANARIE’s Manager, Technology Innovation where he manages the development of programs that meet current and future needs of the Canada’s research community. Hervé joined CANARIE in 1995, where as part of CANARIE’s Advanced Research Network Group, he contributed to the deployment of the CA*net, Canada’s first public internet, and managed the development of the User Control LightPath (UCLP) middleware. In his current role, he manages the Network Enabled Programs (NEP) initiative of the Research Software program, working closely with the scientific research community to develop innovative software platforms that leverage CANARIE investments.
Hervé received his Baccalaureate in Physics Engineering from the University of Laval in 1987, a Master of Science in Project Management and a Certificate in Management Information Systems from the University of Quebec in 1994 and 1998, respectively, and most recently, a Master of Science in High Energy Physics from Carleton University in 2009.
