Ron Kraemer

ORG University of Notre Dame Title Vice President and Chief Information Officer BIO Ron Kraemer has served as vice president and chief information officer at the University of Notre Dame since August, 2010. Before joining Notre Dame, Kraemer was a member of the leadership team of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, most recently serving as its chief information officer and vice provost for information technology. Kraemer currently serves as the Secretary of the St. Joe Valley MetroNet and is a member of the Internet2 Net+ Program Advisory Group. At UW-Madison, Kraemer served on the Board of Directors for WISCNET and was a member of the leadership teams for the Northern Tier Network Consortium and Broadband Optical Research, Education and Sciences Network Before joining the University of Wisconsin, Kraemer was a program manager at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, where he worked with the University of Tennessee overseeing information technology operations and research initiatives and developing the system used to plan and schedule all airlift for Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm during the 1990-91 war in Iraq. He also served as associate director of the Energy, Environment and Resources Center at the University of Tennessee and spent several years as a senior systems analyst at Lockheed Missiles and Space Co., Inc., in Oak Ridge. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Kraemer earned a master
