ORG Vermont Agency of Education Title BIO Peter Drescher is the Education Technology Coordinator for the Vermont Agency of Education (AOE). Prior to his work there, he was a technology integrationist at Vermont Institutes, a non-profit working to support state initiatives. He has been a classroom teacher for 10 years and consults regularly with school districts across the US. His current work at the Vermont AOE involves schools and their broadband connectivity, providing policy guidance, building state capacity for 1:1 computing initiatives and working with House and Senate committees on work involving schools and technology. Other roles he also assumes in his position include State Readiness Coordinator for the upcoming online assessments and the State E-rate coordinator for the Federal E-rate program. He also serves as a board member for the State Education Technology Directors Association, (SETDA) a national group working on Federal and State technology policy areas.
