ORG National Park Service Title BIO Susan Teel grew up in south Florida and worked as a wildlife biologist on Everglades Restoration for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Fish and Wildlife Service. Susan has taught environmental science at Florida International University, Florida Atlantic University, Miami-Dade College, and Santa Monica College. She will enthusiastically join California State University, Channel Islands as adjunct faculty next term. Susan currently serves the National Park Service as Director of the Southern California Research Learning Center (SCRLC). She is responsible for conducting research and education programs, and recruiting and maintaining a network of key scientific, educational, and community partners to assist with research and educational activities in three network parks (Channel Islands National Park, Cabrillo National Monument, and Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area).
