Chris Phillips is the Canadian Access Federation(CAF) Technology Architect with CANARIE. CAF is Canada's identity and access federation operating a suite of technologies; the latest being eduroam(802.1x) and Shibboleth(SAML). Chris also contributes to next generation open source identity management platforms internationally, is a member of the eduroam governance committee and is a named contributor to the Simple Cloud Identity Management (SCIM) provisioning protocol going through the IETF to be an internet standard for identity provisioning.
Chris has a BSc in Computing ('95,Queen's) and has been in the tech sector for 16 years and in the higher education sector since 2003 working on internet scale systems for directory, mail, single sign on, and identity management systems.
