Call for Community Voices Lightning Talks
Quick! Share your insights with the Community. Do you want to present an interesting topic, challenge or success story that impacts the research and education community?
We are issuing a call for brief “lightning talks” featuring community voices during the 2020 Global Summit. Using a lightning-fast presentation style, each speaker gives a brief overview of a current priority or focus area facing the R&E community as we move into the new decade. All selected talks will be presented during the Tuesday, March 31 closing General Session and will be no longer than five minutes each.
Several community members were featured in lightning talks during the 2019 Technology Exchange. They successfully covered topics in five minutes ranging from campus research support, identity access management, women in HPC, and the importance and role of regional networks.
If you or one of your colleagues are interested in speaking, please submit your ideas!
Lightning talk abstracts should include:
> Presentation title
> Presentation description
> Presenter’s name and affiliation
> Authors' names and affiliations (if different from the presenter)
All submissions are due no later than Friday, Feb. 21, 2020 and will be reviewed by a subset of the existing Program Committee. Selected talks will be presented during the Tuesday closing General Session, which will be netcast live and recorded for later viewing. All submitters will be informed of the status of their proposals by March 6, 2020.
