With the explosion of network-connected devices and heightening awareness of the need for enhanced cybersecurity, many organizations are looking for solutions to provide multitenancy and microsegmentation amid continuously rising network loads. During this session we describe an NSF funded project underway at Duke University to augment existing campus networks through a series of hybrid strategies in support of numerous applications including policy-driven microsegmentation, zero trust networking, data express routes as well as streamlined approaches for performance monitoring, automation and other use cases.
