The 2020 Internet2 Regional Principals meeting will be co-locating with The Quilt Winter Member Meeting in La Jolla, CA.

NOTE: If you are attending both the Regional Principals meeting (Tuesday, February 4) and The Quilt Winter Member Meeting (Wednesday, February 5 - Friday, February 7) you will need to register separately for each event.

Goals for the Meeting: To provide an update on the progress of the Next Generation Infrastructure (NGI) Project and present the final Platform Fee Model. Then, we will turn our attention to the future and talk about how the community can work together to make the best use of capabilities of NGI, as well as collaborate on services for our collective members, such as support for research, eduroam, RPI, Cloud Access and ESports.

Jim will describe UETN’s eduroam pilot project and Ann will describe the next steps in extending the pilot to other regionals.

Dana will describe community efforts in the research support area.
|3:45 - 4:30 p.m.||IceCube Research Project (Frank Wuerthwein, University of California, San Diego)
Frank will describe his research using IceCube’s science goals as a basis for attaining the largest scale ever achieved in cloud-based simulations on GPUs that was on display at SC19.
