Managing Enterprise IoT SIG
Time 12/11/19 05:15PM-06:15PM
Interested parties are invited to participate in a special interest group (SIG) that will examine newly emerging options for an institution to manage devices on campus that are part of the Internet of Things. (IoT). This work intends to leverage the strengths of T&I within Internet2 for additional member value. The IoT activity follows in the footsteps of previous I2 work to identify the opportunities and risks associated with R&E deployments of IoT devices and develop a lifecycle maintenance checklist for acquiring and maintaining both research and operational IoT devices. Combining enterprise IdM with IoT management can increase security and help enable smart campus and city initiatives. The SIG will evaluate the opportunities within the new standards on IOT security for campus use and develop requirements lists for both devices and management tools.
