Block name: 2018 Internet2 Technology Exchange

Block dates:  Saturday, October 13 through and including Friday, October 19, 2018

Block rate: $239/night for single or double occupancy plus applicable state and local taxes (currently 12.5%).  Room rates will be available 3 days before and 3 days after the event dates, based on availability. Rate includes complimentary guestroom internet access.

Reservation method:  Reservations for this event are made by individual attendees by calling reservations at 866-360-7395 (please be sure to reference the 2018 Internet2 Technology Exchange block). Attendees can also book their reservation online using the button below.  A limited number of rooms at a discounted rate are available for federal government employees.  Government ID will be asked for at check-in.

Guarantee and Cancellation Policy
A deposit equal to one night's stay is required and will be charged for each individual's reservation.  This deposit will serve to confirm the reservation for the date(s) indicated, and will be applied to the last night of the reserved stay.  To avoid a charge of one night’s room and tax, individual reservations must be canceled 48 hours prior to arrival. NOTE: e-confirmations that guests receive from hotel may state a 5-day cancellation policy.  All rooms booked within our event block have a 48-hour cancellation policy.

Orchid Court Lounge & Sushi Bar
This lobby lounge allows you to enjoy quick-service continental favorites for breakfast and in the evening transforms into a sushi bar. Breakfast Monday-Friday 6am-11am, Saturday-Sunday 6am-noon. Dinner is served daily from 5pm-11pm. 

Islands Dining Room (Pan-American Cuisine)
Traditional family fare and South Seas specialties. Breakfast Monday-Friday 7am-11pm, Saturday-Sunday 7am-noon. Dinner is served daily from 6pm-10pm. 

Jake's American Bar
Full-service bar with live entertainment. Themed favorites include island cocktails, Jake's American Red Lager, the B-1 Bomber Burger, and Roast Beef on Pretzel Bun. Open 11am-1:30am. Dress Code: Casual 

Wantilan Luau
Polynesian food and entertainment. This weekly dinner show features a tropical all-you-can-eat buffet (complete with pit-roasted pig) and live music. Shows are Saturday evenings and require tickets. Registration begins at 5:30pm, seating starts at 6pm.

Bula Bar and Grill
Casual poolside eatery with fruity cocktails, fish tacos, burgers, traditional turkey wraps, salads, and more. Open 11am-9pm. Dress Code: Casual

Dining at Universal Orlando Hotels and CityWalk
Guests looking for even more options can visit the wide variety of restaurants at Loews Royal Pacific sister properties—from the Italian delights at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, to the modern tastes at the venues inside Hard Rock Hotel®, the Caribbean inspired Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, the retro-styled casual eateries at Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort, or visit the new Aventura Hotel for more modern eats. Even more dining options are on tap at Universal CityWalk. *Participating hotels will allow guests with charging privileges on their room (credit card provided for incidentals upon check-in) to charge back to their guestrooms. 

The hotel dining shuttle provides free transportation to and from on-site hotel restaurants. Transportation is available daily at the front of each on-site hotel and is available approximately every 30 minutes from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Plan to board the hotel dining shuttle at least 15 minutes before your dinner reservation.

On-Site Transportation
Walking paths and shuttle buses connect all of Universal Orlando's on-site resort hotels to Universal Studios Florida™, Universal's Islands of Adventure™ and Universal CityWalk™. Universal's Volcano Bay™ is accessible from Loews Royal Pacific Resort via complimentary shuttle.

Airport Transportation
Hotel provides shuttle service for hotel guests arriving at Orlando International Airport through Destination MCO (fees apply) and can be arranged with the Concierge 407-503-3200. The departure point from the airport is at the ground transportation area on the lower level, from the hotel's porte cochère.

Orlando International Airport
Orlando International Airpot (MCO) is located approximately 20-25 minutes from Loews Royal Pacific Resort.

Take the north exit onto the Beachline Expressway (State Road 528) West approximately 11 miles to Interstate 4 (I-4) East. Continue on I-4 East to exit 75A (Universal) and turn left onto Universal Boulevard. Continue on Universal Boulevard to Hollywood Way and turn left. Loews Royal Pacific Resort is on the left at 6300 Hollywood Way.
Note: FL-528 is a toll road with two tolls of $0.75 and $1.00 each between Orlando International Airport and Loews Royal Pacific Resort.

From Florida’s Turnpike
Take exit 259 (Orlando) onto I-4 West. Travel on I-4 West to exit 74B (Universal) and continue to Hollywood Way. Turn right onto Hollywood Way. Loews Royal Pacific Resort is the second entrance on the right.

From Eastbound Interstate 4
Take exit 75A and continue to Universal Boulevard. Turn left onto Universal Boulevard and travel approximately one-half mile to Hollywood Way. Turn left onto Hollywood Way. Loews Royal Pacific Resort is the first entrance on the left.

From Westbound Interstate 4
Take exit 74B (Universal) and continue to Hollywood Way. Turn right onto Hollywood Way. Loews Royal Pacific Resort is the second entrance on the right.

From Southbound Interstate 95
Take exit 205 (State Road 528). Travel on FL-528 to I-4 East. Travel on I-4 East to exit 75A and continue to Universal Boulevard. Turn left onto Universal Boulevard and travel approximately one-half mile to Hollywood Way. Turn left onto Hollywood Way. Loews Royal Pacific Resort is the first entrance on the left.

From Northbound Interstate 95
Take exit 260B (I-4 West). Travel on I-4 West to exit 74B (Universal) and continue to Hollywood Way. Turn right onto Hollywood Way. Loews Royal Pacific Resort is the first entrance on the left.

Alternate Transportation

SuperShuttle: Estimated Fare: 18 USD (shared ride one way) or 45 USD (direct ride one way - no stops).  Reservations must be made in advance.

Taxis: On standby at Orlando International Airport, offering service to and from Loews Royal Pacific Resort for an approximate fare of $55 each way, depending on traffic conditions. Standard taxis can accommodate up to four people. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes.

Shared Ride and Direct Service Airport Shuttles: Mears Transportation offers a shared-ride airport shuttle from Orlando International Airport to Loews Royal Pacific Resort. Tickets are available at the Mears Transportation counters located inside the baggage claim area on level two, as well as on level one where the shuttle departs for Loews Royal Pacific Resort every 30 – 40 minutes. Reservations are not required. Pricing is shown below.

• One-way fare: $21 adult or $16 child (ages 3 – 9)
• Round-trip fare: $33 adult or $25 child (ages 3 – 9)

Mears Transportation also offers a direct service airport shuttle from Loews Royal Pacific Resort to Orlando International Airport. Travel time is approximately one hour. Reservations are required. Visit or call the concierge at 407.503.3200 at least 24 hours prior to departure.

Alternate Transportation Servicing 
Car Rental Services: Avis desks are located next to the Universal Orlando™ Vacation Planning Center and are open seven days a week from 8 am – 5 pm. To make a reservation, call (407) 503-1156.  A Hertz car rental desk is located on the lobby level of the hotel, across from the concierge. Hours of operation are from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm daily. Boats-Water Taxi
Guests staying at Loews Royal Pacific Resort receive complimentary transportation to and from Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Universal CityWalk Entertainment Complex via water taxi. Boats leave every 15-20 minutes from the hotel's boat dock located adjacent to the pool area. Hours of operation are one hour prior to theme park opening until 2:00 am.
