Network Automation Tools and Practices Workshop - $25

Intended audience: Internet2 higher education and regional network members.

This workshop is part of the ongoing community conversation around network automation tools and practices. The workshop will provide attendees the opportunity to hear from their peers from regional and campus network organizations on what tools and best practices they are deploying to improve network task automation. The workshop will also address topics around what is needed to create a NetDevOps culture in your organization.

 

Grouper in Action: Access Management Strategies for Higher Education and Research Tutorial - $25

Grouper is an enterprise access management system built by and for higher education, and is a key component of Internet2’s Trust and Identity in Education and Research (TIER) initiative. Designed for highly distributed and heterogeneous information technology environments, Grouper is uniquely suited to address the complexity and flexibility required by the modern institution. 

This tutorial will explore the latest Grouper release, demonstrate a variety of real world use cases, and review the recently released TIER Grouper Deployment Guide. The deployment guide aims to distill diverse community examples into specific TIER guidance and recommendation for achieving a variety of identity and access management capabilities.

The New IT Managers Program focuses on providing first-time managers and those aspiring to management roles with the basic skills critical for managing and supervising projects, units, and people. The program provides a comprehensive view of the role of manager as well as specific skills development in several key management areas including interpersonal communication, time management, project management, and performance management. The program offers an invaluable opportunity to share information and experiences with peers and experienced IT practitioners in highly interactive sessions.
