Session Abstract

This session will cover two different but complementary aspects:

  1. A shorter term view - This will focus mostly on the research
infrastructures side and will highlight the impact of the AARC
project in Europe (and possibly beyond) towards the deployments of
authentication and authorisation infrastructures in research
    collaborations.
  2. A longer term view - A tour to highlight the results of several
groups initiatives (FIM4R, CACTI, GN4 project, etc,) to set out
requirements for the next 5 year period will be presented.

The first part of the session will briefly present the AARC architecture
and policy key points (and how they met the initial requirements
identified by FIM4R 1st paper), followed by cyber infrastructures
representatives (such as LIGO, XSEDE) reports on their experience. The
eScience requirements that have been reviewed by the FIM4R group in
their 2nd paper will be presented; a series of presenters, in lightning
talk form will perform “elevator pitches” for what they each see as the
top 3 priorities for 2023. The audience will be invited to live-vote on
what they hear, with the results presented by the moderators at the end
to show our priorities!
