Report on the Internet2-Cisco ICN Testbed Project
Time 10/18/17 11:40AM-12:10PM
Room Grand Ballroom A
Information-centric networking is one of the alternatives to TCP/IP developed over the past decade with initial funding from the NSF's "Future Internet Architectures" program. A nationwide information-centric network has been set up among ten Internet2 members running over the AL2S service. Servers donated by Cisco Systems at each network node run the open-source CICN software. In this session, network engineers and domain researchers from the participating institutions will report on their usage of the testbed to transfer named data, and Cisco and Internet2 will present data on the performance of the network.
