Strengthening Community Trust: New InCommon Baseline Practices

Time 09/26/16 09:00AM-09:50AM

Room Bayfront A

Session Abstract

Since its inception, InCommon has required participant organizations to post an online document that details their identity management practices (the Participant Operating Practices, or POP). The purpose of this document is to foster trust among InCommon participants. However, this approach has been fraught with a variety of difficulties. Come to this session to learn how InCommon has engaged the community to build a new standard and online process to replace the POP, supporting higher levels of measurable, comparable trust across our community.
