Emergency Management Using Docker on AWS to Create a Disaster-Ready Command & Control Center
Time 09/26/16 11:20AM-12:10PM
Increasingly we are looking at cloud platforms like AWS and Azure locations to build disaster recovery for our systems. What about using those platforms for disaster management as well? In this session learn how two students from Indiana University created a full-featured command and control center in a Docker container ready to be triggered by emergency personnel if disaster takes the campus infrastructure down. It costs virtually nothing to build or store until it's needed. Once it is needed, an authorized web login brings it to life and in seconds your team has the communication tools and access to BCP documents it needs to execute your disaster planning.
