Title User Engagement
Ann Harding has worked for SWITCH, (the Swiss NREN) since 2007 and in that time has led the GÉANT project's pan-European Trust and Identity developments (eduroam/eduGAIN) and multidomain network developments (dynamic networks). Previously she was network operations manager at HEAnet, the Irish NREN. Generally, she asks “why” and “why not” at opportune moments.
These days she is a member of the SWITCH infrastructure and data team, and is responsible for researcher/user engagement and developing new cloud-based compute and data services to support reproduceable science, such as long term storage.
Ann has third-level qualifications in arts & humanities, computer science and a master’s qualification in social science. She continues to research topics such as marketing, innovation and technology that help us make a difference in serving research and education.
