Time 10/06/15 02:00PM-02:25PM
Room Room 26-BC
eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain wireless Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions.
In this interactive session, panelists from Ohio educational institutions will share their experiences with the deployment and operation of eduroam within a State system of higher education. Use cases include travelling users, shared campuses, institutional partnerships, and student mobility. Panelists will discuss considerations relating to security, privacy, authentication, and server and network architecture.
Attendees will learn how eduroam shared wireless can simplify Internet access for users while maintaining security, and how Ohio's collaborative approach to shared services has driven eduroam adoption.
