From Cradle to Cradle: Developing a Robust Identity Management Framework
Time 10/06/15 10:20AM-11:10AM
Room Room 26-A
Identity needs of university communities are necessarily diverse with regard to timeliness and digital resource entitlements. However, this diverse landscape is also changing rapidly; services are increasingly hosted elsewhere and the on-demand culture means that legacy-based batch processed identities have to give way to shorter provisioning cycles.Solutions have to developed with security and privacy built in.
An identity management framework includes policies, processes, technology, and resources that are nimble and able to adapt quickly and securely to changing needs. Temple University's framework manages over 70,000 identities with complex rules governing entitlements, supports guest access, and also supports real time provisioning accounts if needed.
