A Modern Platform for Rapidly Deploying Globally Distributed Services
Time 10/05/15 09:00AM-09:50AM
Room Room 25-B
The Cisco Intercloud Services team has open sourced the core of a project call “Project Shipped”. Project Shipped is an infrastructure platform for delivering cloud based distributed microservices, using open source technologies such as Mesos, Marathon, Docker, Consul, and Vault. Cisco is betting big on IoT and this is part of our bet. We want to democratize the primitives (Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, etc.) for building distributed IoT applications by making them available to all. The goal is to provide developers with an open platform that will work on any cloud. This session will cover the architecture for distributed services based on this open source project.
