Executive Track: Thinking About Our Collective Future
Time 04/28/15 08:10AM-09:50AM
Room Renaissance Ballroom
We will begin the morning with a recap of Monday’s discussion and setting goals for Tuesday, our focus for the day will center on fostering a dialogue between VPRs, CIOs, and university leadership about how research computing is supported on campuses and discussing why this is important. We will use this session to identify and exchange information about best practices and organizational models for this dialogue.
After opening remarks and introductions from the VPRs in attendance, we will have a short "President’s Perspectives" session, featuring President Michael McRobbie, Indiana University, and President David Lassner, University of Hawaii, who will discuss their thoughts on working with VPR’s at the institutional level. Afterwards, we will have a moderated Town Hall Discussion for all attendees. We will then review the models, before we discuss needs and next steps.
