Time 04/01/15 12:10PM-12:30PM
Room Bayview Ballroom 214
The GEANT Testbeds Service delivers user defined and software driven virtual network environments to the network research community. While a product of recent research activity in the US and Europe, the GEANT Testbeds Service (GTS) pushes network virtualization technologies with a number of innovative features that allow researcher to establish high performance experimental networks quickly and flexibly and at scale globally. GTS is working closely with the global community, most notably the US GENI initiative and the European FIRE program, to both support the research efforts and to collaborate as a partner to develop and mature advanced experimental capabilities. GTS is a new service concept within the GEANT Project. This presentation will provide an architectural overview of GTS, a current deployment status and trajectory, and a look at the futures roadmap of features and capabilities.
