Duty Cycle – Infrastructure for Experiment Support
Time 02/11/15 11:00AM-11:30AM
It is becoming increasingly advantageous for science experiments to process observational data quickly so that the experiment can be informed of analysis results in near-real time. This talk will explore the experiment duty cycle in multiple scientific contexts, including the infrastructure developments in computing and networking that have emerged to support the rapid analysis of experiment data. There will be discussion of the application of these developments to astronomy and cosmology, including an exploration of additional capabilities that might be required.
