Tour the GlobalNOC
Time 10/30/14 12:00PM-01:00PM
The Global Research Network Operations Center (GlobalNOC) at Indiana University is the premier operational partner for many of the world's most advanced R&E networks. Founded 15 years ago in a groundbreaking partnership with Internet2, the GlobalNOC places a singular focus on the unique requirements of our community with highly responsive network coordination, engineering, and installation services, as well as 24x7x365 network support. This concentration helps drive developments in science, learning, and the humanities.
The tour will include visits to the GlobalNOC at IUPUI's Informatics and Communications Technology Complex (ICTC)—one of two interconnected, fully redundant NOC facilities at IU; the Indiana Center for Network Translational Research and Education (InCNTRE), which seeks to advance OpenFlow and other Software-Defined Networking technologies; and the Advanced Visualization Lab, the university’s main support unit for visualization-related activities.
Hour-long tours (walking time to/from ICTC included) are available throughout the week.* To sign up, visit the Indiana University booth (second floor, outside Griffin Hall).
