Standardizing Identity Management - Two Different Approaches From Technology and Institutional Archaeology
Time 10/29/14 09:15AM-10:00AM
Marshall University and The Pennsylvania State University are both facing a challenge that is likely shared by many other higher education institutions: conversion from legacy Identity Management systems based on older technologies, scripts, and with detailed knowledge of those stored mostly in the heads of individuals at these institutions. To solve this challenge and transform their processes and technologies to well-understood and documented systems, Marshall and Penn State have taken different approaches with some shared aspects and some significant differences. A panel from the schools will discuss their approaches to these challenges and take questions from the audience.
