Applications of Small, Cheap Computers In Network Operations

Time 10/29/14 04:15PM-05:00PM

Room White River Ballroom C

Session Abstract

Within the last few years, a number of small, cheap general-purpose computers, such as Raspberry Pi, have become available. The price of these devices enables deployments of nodes in numbers previously not considered. At practically every gathering of network engineers, these devices are the focus of much discussion, and there is a burgeoning need to bring coherence to the discussion, and pool knowledge and experiences. This session will feature several presentations about small-device deployments, and will aim to engender on-going exchange.
