Title Director of Research Computing
Thomas Hauser is the Director of Research Computing at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Thomas is responsible for developing and operating an advanced cyberinfrastructure to support researchers at CU-Boulder. His Research Computing (RC) group recently developed a storage infrastructure to support archival and sharing of research data and upgraded their science network. RC also operates CU-Boulders central computing infrastructure including a 1368 node supercomputer. Thomas earned is Phd. in mechanical engineering from the University of Technology in Munich. He was the founding director of the Center for High Performance Computing at Utah State University and also Associate Director for Research Computing at Northwestern University.
