Cloud, Trust, Identity and Middleware Applications
Presentations focus on projects, initiatives, and best practices related to R&E cloud applications positioned within the Internet2 NET+ initiative’s portfolio, as well as a broader set of standards—policy and service offerings to support a rapidly expanding set of identity services needed for campus, individual, and service providers in a cloud services-driven technical environment. Includes (but is not limited to) trust, identity and middleware, cloud risk mitigation, cloud contracting, cloud integration, cloud security, and cloud applications.
Innovations in Infrastructure
Presentations here cover progress being made in the development of leading edge network technologies that support education, research and scientific use of the new advanced capabilities of the Internet2 and regional networks—extending to the global R&E community. Includes network infrastructure developments, the Innovation Platform Program, software-defined networking (SDN), Advanced Layer 2 Services examples and innovative network diagnostic tools.
Innovative Partnerships, Uses and Applications
Revolutionary and disruptive initiatives, projects and advanced network applications that support science, research and education. Topics for presented case studies include: compelling applications and initiatives in network coordination, strategy and synergy; big life and physical science; advanced healthcare; cultural collaborations; and teaching and learning emphasizing U.S. UCAN initiatives and programs.
Executive Track (Invitation Only)
This special track offers a selection of sessions and speakers tailored to the interests and issues of R&E executive leaders. These activities are designed to be relevant and valuable to the work that you do, as well as offering opportunities for you to gather with your peers for collaboration and discussion. Participation in the Executive Track also includes access to the Leadership Lounge, a conveniently located space reserved exclusively for the attendees of the Executive Track. This space will serve as an informal gathering spot for you and your peers to meet, relax, work and enjoy light refreshments. The Executive Track kicks off on Monday, April 7, with a luncheon, and continues through Tuesday, April 8.
