Internet2 Gender Diversity Working Session
Time 04/07/14 10:30AM-11:30AM
Room Director's Row H
Please join us for a working session on gender diversity in the Internet2 community. At the 2013 Internet2 Annual Meeting, Laurie Burns McRobbie led a discussion about the challenges in increasing gender diversity among technical staff at both universities and other research and education organizations. Following that session, Internet2 formed a Gender Diversity Initiative, co-chaired by Marla Meehl and Laurie, to continue the discussion and generate ideas for making a positive impact on the current environment. This year¹s working session will focus on concrete steps we might take during the next year, such as conducting a survey to collect information on model programs and best practices at member institutions, creating internship programs, and others. We look forward to your participation and your ideas, whether you attended the session last year or are joining the conversation for the first time.
