Internet2 and ESPN, Innovation and Collaboration
Time 04/24/12 07:30AM-08:30AM
Session Abstract
Members of ESPN's Technology division will lead a discussion on areas under consideration for further discovery and collaboration between ESPN and schools/research facilities. ESPN operates a worldwide commercial infrastructure that acquires, creates, edits, and distributes audio, video, text, scores, and statistical content. As a leader in the sports news and information space, we are constantly looking at ways to push the boundaries of conventional technology and introduce new technology in all aspects of our processes. Internet2 provides an infrastructure that allows collaborative exploration in this space. We want to align our ideas with member schools to best utilize existing technology, and more importantly, move into areas that Internet2 facilitates and that are truly innovative.
