Mark Beadles is Information Security Officer for OARnet and the Ohio Technology Consortium, and manages the IAMOhio identity federation for Ohio higher education. He has over 20 years of industry experience as a developer, system architect, and security practitioner and has a particular interest in the security of distributed systems. Mark is the inventor of multiple patented innovations in the field of network management. He has held leadership positions in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) and contributed to the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) and the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). He is currently a member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA); the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM); and the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Mark is a veteran of the US Army Signal Corps and holds a B.S. in Computers and Society from Michigan State University.
