The Network Tools Tutorial is a forum to showcase the latest developments in software development for network research.
Ken Miller, from The Pennsylvania State University, will present an overview of using sFlow on a campus to identify scientific data flows and aid in architectural planning. Ken will present some results of this long running project, and describe ways it has fostered the integration of a science DMZ as well as capacity upgrades toward 100G networking.
Aaron Brown, from Internet2, will highlight the Internet2 Network Portal (https://portal.internet2.edu/networks) a project to present both technical and non-technical information regarding Internet2 users via a single sign on web application. A demonstration will be made showing the current and future capabilities of this application.
