Session Abstract

NEC, the first to announce and deliver a Generally Available OpenFlow network solution in May, 2011, recently rolled out Version2 of their ProgrammableFlow Network Controller, based on the OpenFlow 1.0 standard, which has been the focus of intense industry interest, particularly from those interested in deploying Open Software Defined Networks. The ProgrammableFlow Network Fabric, including a controller, a visualization monitor, mulitple switches including a 10GbE pure OpenFlow switch and a hybrid switch designed for transitioning networks, provides a programmable, open SDN solution today for enterprises and campuses. ProgrammableFlow is currently installed in over 2 dozen campuses in North America.
