Application Driven Networking with XSP

Session Abstract

Software Defined Networking is a powerful new model for the control plane that allows unprecedented flexibility over network traffic. Fine-grained control over traffic is extremely compelling for large data centers and the opportunities for extremely flexible load balancing are significant. Our work explores SDNs for dynamic circuits. This talk explores application signaling with the eXtensible Session Protocol (XSP) as a mechanism to leverage SDNs in this mode.
