Session Abstract

The University Community Next Generation Innovation Project, or Gig.U, is a group of almost 30 leading research universities from across the United States seeking to accelerate the deployment of ultra high-speed networks to leading U.S. universities and their surrounding communities. North Carolina leads the nation with four universities participating in this project. Information officers from each of these institutions provide stimulating and insightful perspectives on this project and efforts underway to facilitate development and roll out of Gig.U within their communities.
