Where the Sidewalk Used to End--Privilege and Policy Management Strategies

Time 10/04/11 08:45AM-10:00AM

Session Abstract

We have solid identity management, it's federated, we even have a generic group management service with delegated administration. Is it access management time yet? There are two capabilities beyond this frontier that some R&E institutions are beginning to explore: Privilege and Policy Management. There are tools that help, but as usual, the real challenges are in discovering, creating and/or revising processes and little-p policies. Presenters at this session will speak from rich experience--and some delivered functionality--from beyond what many of us still consider the end of the sidewalk.
