Leveraging Certificates for Improved Security
Time 10/04/11 01:15PM-02:30PM
Session Abstract
The new Internet2 InCommon Certificate program offers participants an opportunity to save on the cost of SSL/TLS certificates for their web servers, but it also includes a potentially transformative opportunity to deploy EV ("extended validation" or so-called "green bar"), certificates and even personal certificates at no extra charge.
This session will consider how participants might leverage the opportunities that the InCommon Certificate program offers to improve their site's security via protocols such as S/MIME and ssh with X.509 authentication.
