Session Abstract

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has been working on building a new national research network for their agency since mid-2009. "N-Wave" initially connects two new NOAA HPC sites to several existing NOAA research related centers around the country. It is anticipated to grow to serve a wide variety of research-related needs in the future.

By the time of this meeting N-Wave expects to have completed the connections of the initial sites, be operational, and be in the planning phase for the second batch of site connections. NOAA would like to share the experiences thus far and plans for the next phases with the community.
