Session Abstract

When thinking about the security of cyber systems, there is sometimes a temptation to assume that all threats are presented "over the wire." In fact, we must also recognize that there are real world physical risks which we must also mitigate. Managing all risks, including real world physical risks to advanced network and system infrastructure, becomes increasingly important as Internet2 members and connectors contribute an increasingly diverse range of production traffic while also continuing to service traditional R&E needs. This talk will
review some physical security risks and some approaches that sites might consider to manage or mitigate those risks.
