Thomas Howell

ORG Northwestern University Title BIO Thomas Howell is Lead Web Developer and Systems Analyst for Northwestern University Library. He is leading the library's adoption of Drupal for public and intranet websites, special purpose faculty websites, and an interface to the new Fedora digital collections repository. He has worked in conjunction with staff from OCLC and Atlas to implement Shibboleth for hosted versions of ILLiad and Ares. Currently, Thomas is Chair of the InCommon Library Use Case Subgroup which is developing a comprehensive list of use cases related to accessing "information vendors" from a variety of different locations. His deep interest in information groups, relationships and data's role in web technology guides his search for new ways of generating interest, collaboration and engagement in a modern flat world.
