Cloud Computing and End-to-End Perspective

Over the past few years, cloud computing and virtualization have become mainstream, as campuses and service providers alike strive to optimize IT costs and leverage existing IT resources. The adoption of virtualization techniques and subsequent deployment of a variety of cloud types and cloud services has resulted not only in substantial cost savings for adopters, but also new service opportunities for cloud and service providers. This panel will discuss the technology requirements and hurdles of providing virtual bandwidth and computing resources from a cloud provider and service provider perspective as well as discussing the advantages and pitfalls faced by a campus utilizing cloud computing resources.
