Session Abstract

Many network engineers have never heard about Openflow. If they have, they've likely heard that it's a new technology that is going to let researchers break their networks in new and interesting ways. But the reality is that Openflow introduces a very powerful paradigm to the world of networking and people who design and manage networks should be paying attention.

This presentation will provide a detailed look at the Openflow technology, discuss how Openflow is being used for the GENI project, and explain why Openflow has the potential to change the way we build and manage networks.
