The MITA Repository: Reshaping Medicaid with Shibboleth and Open Source Tools
Time 10/06/09 08:45AM-10:00AM
Session Abstract
The Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) Initiative is a national framework to support improved systems development and health care management for the Medicaid enterprise. As with any project of this huge scope, involving myriad private and governmental agencies, there will be thousands of documents and other digital artifacts that need to be cataloged, versioned, indexed and secured. This session will review recent work at Clemson University towards building a national MITA Repository using Fedora Commons, Drupal, and Shibboleth. Special attention will be given to the challenges of attribute-based access control, rights administration and user provisioning.
