Fall 2008 Internet2 Member Meeting
Sheraton New Orleans Hotel
500 Canal Street
New Orleans, Louisiana 70130
The Fall 2008 Internet2 Member Meeting took place 13 –16 October in New Orleans, Louisiana and was hosted by Louisiana State University and the Louisiana Optical Network Initiative (LONI). The program included many outstanding track sessions covering a broad range of topics. The 662 attendees, representing all Internet2 membership categories, took advantage of our in-person gathering to accomplish an impressive amount during the 77 Working Group, Special Interest Group, and Birds of a Feather meetings. In addition, we welcomed 75 first-time registrants to our member meeting, as well as 74 international attendees. Meeting attendees also participated in several activities surrounding our community-led Strategic Planning Process. For the first time ever, Internet2's Advisory Council meetings were open, enabling meeting attendees to learn more about Internet2 governance and the important work going on within the Councils.
The meeting general sessions and many of the track sessions are available for viewing on the meeting netcast archive. In addition, you'll find archived presentation materials through the online program.
Internet2 would like to thank our program committee, and our meeting sponsors for their support of this very important Internet2 community activity.
