Introducing the GRNOC Realtime Atlas
Time 01/22/08 04:10PM-04:30PM
The GRNOC Realtime Atlas provides a visually appealing, easy to comprehend, topologically oriented visualization of realtime network telemetry. Capable of geographically displaying any GRNOC managed network around the globe with a 5 second update cycle for telemetry data, the Atlas was developed by the Global Research NOC employing a modular architecture consisting of: a thin Flash client, a high performance SNAPP data service, a GRNOC Database driven wireframe service and a Geographic Information Service provided by UMN Mapserver. This talk will provide an in-depth demonstration of the Atlas, review its architecture, and demonstrate how this architecture enables component reuse.
