Lambda Station Network Path Selection Service

Time 01/22/08 09:25AM-09:45AM

Session Abstract

Lambda Station is a network path selection service developed by Fermilab and Caltech. It addresses the last-mile problem of making alternate wide-area network paths selectively available for designated local network resources. Over the course of the past several months, Lambda Station has demonstrated the capability to establish and utilize dynamic wide-area network circuit services, such as Internet2's DCN service and ESnet's OSCARS service. In this talk, we will discuss the current state of development for Lambda Station, our experiences with interfacing it to WAN dynamic circuit services, and future directions, issues, and concerns.
