Time 04/24/07 03:00PM-04:00PM
Digital media distribution is becoming a critical component of classroom learning, and Cdigix, Inc's innovative Clabs educational service provides an efficient and secure way for professors, librarians and administrators to deliver engaging rich media content to students on demand. This presentation will demonstrate the capabilities of this ground-breaking product, which eliminates the frustration of having to view material at a certain location during a specific time period.
The media that is posted on Clabs is tracked through each step of the encoding process, and school administrators have final approval of the content before it is released to students. Furthermore, each piece of media is encrypted, and access is restricted to only the students who are members of a course at an accredited institution where the media is required.
The Clabs product has been used at leading institutions around the country for the last two years including Yale University. The new release of the service provides additional and important functionality, including podcast capabilities and the ability for Clabs schools to share media assets among each other.
