Internet2 Community sponsors and supporters key to Member Meeting success.
The Fall 2006 Internet2 Member Meeting is a showcase for the collaborative efforts of Internet2 members. The network for the meeting owes its success to numerous member contributions. The meeting venue was provisioned with 2 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet circuits providing bandwidth for meeting rooms and demonstrations. Joe Mambretti and MREN were instrumental in providing WAN connectivity and, working with Linda Winkler of Argonne National Labs, providing network engineering in support for this event. Merit Network provided additional network engineering support, commodity bandwidth and IP address space. Northwestern University provided staff to configure and support LAN and WLAN equipment as well as staff for the Help Desk.
There would be no network without important hardware and software resources. AT&T, Nortel Networks, and the University of Minnesota provided critical fiber and hardware resources to provision the 2 x 10 GE circuits to support the meeting. Juniper Networks provided an M320 router for the meeting venue. Cisco Systems, working with Northwestern University, provided the LAN switches and WLAN Access Points.
Our thanks go out to all of these organizations and individuals!
