Federations 101: A Case Study in Implementing Federations
Time 12/07/06 08:45AM-10:00AM
Session Abstract
Campuses and partner organizations implementing Federated Identity, in the US, Europe, and Australia, are looking to Federations as a scaleable approach for managing the various policy, business practice, trust, and technical issues involved when implementing a Federated Identity framework with a partner. This panel will discuss their experiences with Federations: why they joined, the value they received, the issues they encountered, and when it makes sense to create a local Federation vs join a national one.
